Rudra CC beat SPCT convincingly by 17 runs to win the SPCT Cup T-20 Cricket Tournament at L D Arts College ground on Wednesday. After winning the toss, SPCT elected to field. Adil Patil tore into the SPCT bowling and scored 91 runs in 74 balls. Along with Naman Shah, who chipped in with 45 runs from 35 balls, they put up most of the runs for their team. After their dismissals, four more wickets fell in quick succession, but Rudra put up a good score of 160 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs. When the right-left batting combination of Atri Raval (59) and Pratiksinh Rana’s (41) were on the crease, it seemed SPCT would easily sail through. But once they were back in the pavilion, the others failed to sustain themselves. Left arm bowler Devang Khatri with his accurate bowling took 17 for 4 wickets and Jignesh Rathod 29 for 2 as Rudra CC won by 17 runs to become the champions. Adil was declared Man of the Match, while Devang Khatri was declared Best Bowler of the tournament and Atril Raval won the Best Batsman award.
