1st Rising Star Cricket Tournament 2017 was organized between 5th Oct.’17 to 28th Nov.’17 at New Delhi.
14 teams from various cricket academies participated in the tournament. The final of much cherished tournament was played on 28th Nov.’17 at Vector International Sports, New Delhi between 3S Cricket Academy and Bal Bhavan Cricket Academy.
3S Cricket Academy won the toss and elected to bat. Team did not get a good start and they lost some important wickets in early overs. However, remaining players put a good effort and added to the score steadily. Ritik Vats played a wonderful innings and scored 75 runs in 72 balls giving much needed boost to the final score. Team ended up scoring 172 runs at the end of 40 overs by losing 8 wickets.
While replying, Bal Bhavan Cricket Academy got a good start with Captain Arpit Rana and Yugal Saini adding to the score steadily. However, team failed to score at required pace and bundled up scoring 122 runs at the end of 37.3 overs. Arham from 3S Cricket Academy bowled extremely well as he took 5 wickets in 8 overs by giving only 22 runs.
3S Cricket Academy won the final of 1st U-15 Rising Star Cricket Tournament 2017 by 51 runs against Bal Bhavan Cricket Academy.
