Vodafone ICL- 2017 was organized between 1st Nov.’17 to 26th Nov.’17 at Ahmedabad.
16 teams from various departments participated in the tournament. The final of this much celebrated tournament was played on 26th Nov.’17 between WC Warriors (Vodafone) and The Legends (Vodafone).
WC Warriors (Vodafone) won the toss and elected to bat. Despite losing some important wickets at early overs, team managed to score 140 runs at the end of 16 overs by losing 5 wickets. Team had a strong batting line up with almost all the players scoring a good pace. Highest scorers were Arvind Jha and Aashay Deo, who scored 57 and 41 runs respectively. Binaya Patel from The Legends (Vodafone) bowled really well as he took 3 wickets in 2 overs .
While replying, The Legends (Vodafone) did not get a good start and went on losing wickets at regular intervals. None of the players except Hardik Agarwal (35) managed to score freely. Team failed to score at a required pace and ended up scoring 93 runs at the end of 16 overs. Arvind Jha from WC Warriors (Vodafone) shined again as he took 5 wickets in 4 overs by giving only 8 runs.
WC Warriors (Vodafone) won the final of Vodafone ICL-2017 by 47 runs against The Legends (Vodafone).
