FIS Premier League (FPL 8) was organized between 16th Sep.’17 to 25th Nov.’17 at Chandigarh.
An interesting final of this tournament was played on 25th Nov.’17 between two strongest teams- Rangers (FPL-8) and Punjab Royals (FPL-8) at Guru Nanak Public School - Chandigarh.
Rangers (FPL 8) won the toss and elected to bat. Team didn’t get a very good start and lost a few important wickets in early overs. However, Ankush Sarin played an exceptional innings as he scored 106 runs in just 49 balls with 4 fours and 10 sixes. With this outstanding performance, team closed at a good score of 168 runs at the end of 20 overs after losing 5 wickets.
While chasing the target, Punjab Royals (FPL 8) failed to score at a required pace. Despite trying their best, team bundled up scoring 123 runs in 19.1 overs. Highest scorer was Sunil Suthar with 32 runs. Pick of the bowlers was Kapil Singh Bisht from Rangers (FPL 8), who took 2 wickets in 3 overs.
Rangers (FPL 8) won the final of FIS Premier League (FPL 8 ) by 45 runs against Punjab Royals (FPL 8).
