CIGNEX Datamatics Cricket League (CDCL-9) was organized between 6th Nov.’17 to 24th Nov.’17 at Ahmedabad.
Out of the 5 participant teams, the final was played between Thunder XI and Spartans United on 24th Nov.’17 at Hebatpur 2, Ahmedabad.
Spartans United won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, Thunder XI did not get a good start and lost some important wickets in early overs. However, remaining players managed to add to the score steadily and team ended up scoring 92 runs in 14 overs after losing 7 wickets. Highest scorer was Cignex Ravi Chandani, who scored 27 runs in 23 balls. Pick of the bowlers was Hiren Patel from Spartans United, who took 2 wickets in 3 overs.
While chasing the target, Spartan United got a good start with both the opening batsman Hiren Patel and Vatsal scoring at a good pace. Almost all players scored significantly and Spartan United reached at the score of 93 runs at the end of 12.4 overs by losing 4 wickets. Vatsal was the highest scorer with 28 runs. Bowling highlight of the innings was Dinesh from Thunder XI, who took 2 wickets in 3.4 overs.
