Late Sudhakar Bhalekar Memorial Cricket Trophy was organized by Star Star Cricket Club and NDCA between 13th Nov.’17 to 22nd Nov.’17 at Nashik.
An interesting final of this tournament was held at Mahatma Nagar Cricket Ground, Nashik on 22nd Nov.’17 between Dadu Katyare XI and Chandna Shinde XI.
Dadu Katyare XI won the toss and elected to bat. Opening batsmen Ubale Ramesh (wk) and Shantanu Anu Wekhande gave team a very good start as they scored 29 and 27 runs respectively at a good pace. Almost all the players added to the final score and team ended up at a good score of 149 runs at the end of 20 overs after losing 9 wickets. Bowling highlight of the innings was Yogesh Yadav from Chandna Shinde XI, who took 3 wickets in 4 overs.
While chasing the target, Chandna Chinde XI did not get a good start as they lost some important wickets in early overs. However, remaining players performed really well and team managed to score 150 runs in 18.2 overs by losing 7 wickets. Yogesh Yadav stole the show by hitting 71 runs in 52 balls with 7 fours and 2 sixes. Pick of the bowlers was Agharkar Salil from Dadu Katyare XI, who took 3 wickets in 4 overs.
Chandna Shinde XI won the final of Late Sudhakar Bhalekar Memorial Cricket Trophy by 3 wickets against Dadu Katyare XI.
Player of the match was Yogesh Yadav from Chandna Shinde XI.
