CII-CCC Corporate Premier League 2017 was organized between 9th Sep.’17 to 19th Nov.’17 at News Delhi.
22 teams from various corporates participated in this tournament. The final of this much cherished tournament was held at Barwala Cricket Ground, New Delhi on 19th nov.’17 between Chandigarh City Center (CII) and CII Yi (CII).
Chandigarh City Center (CII) won the toss and elected to bat. Team lost some important wickets in early overs and failed to score at a good pace.None of the players managed to score freely against the strong bowling attack from CII- Yi (CII). However, remaining players tried really well and closed innings at 94 runs in 20 overs after losing 9 wickets. Gurinder from CII- Yi (CII) bowled extremely well and took 3 wickets in 3 overs.
Since the target was not very difficult to defend CII- Yi (CII) managed to achieve it in 13.4 overs by losing 4 wickets. Harman and Ravi Verma played very well and added 30 and 29 runs respectively at a good pace. Bowling highlight of the innings was Melvyn from Chandigarh City Center (CII), who took 3 wickets in 4 overs.
CII- Yi (CII) won the final against Chandigarh City Center (CII) by 6 wickets.
