Ipswich Indians started their BSK trophy matches with full energy and confidence. They were considered to be one of tough contenders from Group C. Although things didn’t turn out that well for them as they have most of there key Players got injured. They are not in the position where they would have wanted to be. But that’s how sport is, “Not every time the better team claims victory at the end of the day”. As many sporting legends would say, “after all winning does not matter, what matters is that we enjoy the game”. We can say that about Ipswich indians. They enjoyed their games and played all their matches with true sportsmanship and good team spirit. In all their games, they gave their full potential and but could not get their team over the line at the very end.
We can say the same about their captain Subbu puppala leading the II from the front and has been excellent in this tournament scoring 127 runs in 7 matches at an excellent strike rate of almost 111.40. His average is at a phenomenal figure of 18.4 which is very good considering the format and the conditions.
Needless to say, the contribution of the team players towards Cricket as Sports is outstanding as regardless of Player “ VidyaTeja boyapati got injured in the 1st game, he continued to support the team from outside and motivated all to continue playing. Only a True champion can be motive like this said by captain, Subbu and this team undoubtedly has set the standards for team’s fielding, yielding the dismissals in 10th BSK Multicultural tournament. We know that they will be back with a bang in the next BSK Annual Cup and we wish their team the best of luck in all the matches to come.
