9th Annual BSK Multicultural cup tournament

The Fair Play award is the best record of fair play during the game. The winner is decided on the basis of the points the umpires give to the teams. After each match, the umpire, scores the performance of both the teams. A team can be awarded total of 10 points, out of which 4 points are given on the basis of how the team has adhered to the “spirit of the game” in the opinion of the umpires. The other three criteria are based on respect towards opposition, the laws of cricket and the organisers. Each of these criteria represents 2 points each.

TOP three teams for this year recorded for this year are as follows: -

1. Kalinga Tigers South – 10 points (Umpires-4, Respecting opponents-2, Laws of cricket-2, organisers-2)
2. Ipswich Indians- 9 Points (Umpires-4, Respecting opponents-1, Laws of cricket-2, organisers-2)
3. BSK-8 Points (Umpires-4, Respecting opponents-2, Laws of cricket-2, organisers-N/A)

Kalinga Tigers South clearly over powered all the teams by ticking all boxes. Team lead by young Captain Manjit Singh, has definitely raised the standard of community cricket. With their professional and Competitive approach to Play the game had proved that Cricket is above and beyond Just Winning or Losing. The Spirit to Play Cricket as a sport by this Champion team has inspired many in this year Multicultural tournament. BSK is honored and proud for always supporting such Victor teams who’s Playing to spread positivity through there remarkable sportsmanship spirit in the Community.

Following are comments/feedback which was registered in BSK books for this team: -

1. Umpires mentioned “the team is very professional and organized respecting the laws or cricket and well behaved with match officials and opponents on field”. (Game played on 26^th Sept 2021)
2. Match officials commented” Captain in role is motivating his players throughout the game to get the best performance out from them and never doubted on LBW decisions made against them”.
3. Organisers- “The team never requested for any change in scheduled games and always respected the rules made for the tournament and played with full spirit throughout the tournament”.

Big Congratulations to “Kalinga tigers South” For registering the biggest highlighted award for this year under their name. They will be getting Trophy for appreciation and Cash Prize. Good luck to all the remaining teams for this award.
