Punters 11 192/7 in 20 overs (Naman Grover 60, Badrish Naithani 43, Avinash Thapa 2/12) beat Stallions Sameer 123 in 16.1 overs (Somya Azad 55, Amit 4/32, Vijay Chauhan 2/3) by 69 runs.
Stallions Sameer won the toss and invited Punters 11 to bat first. Punters 11 didn't had a great start to their innings as they lost their first three wickets inside the seven overs in the form of Lalit Gautam, Varun Arora and Abhishek Sakuja. Then, Badrish Naithani had a responsibility on his shoulders, he batted well for his 24 balls 43, he was supported by in-form Naman Grover, the duo added 43 valuable runs for the fourth wicket and had laid the foundation for the lower order. Naman Grover then capitalised the run flow, before he got dismissed in the penultimate over, he made 60 runs with a strike rate of 200. He batted beautifully in which he hit five sixes and as many fours. At the end of first innings, Punters 11 posted 192 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Avinash Thapa bowled exceptionally well for his spell of 4-0-12-2. Neeraj Puri and Money Grewal remained on the expensive side as they both conceded an aggregate of 105 runs in their eight overs.
Stallions Sameer were given a target of 193 runs, they had to maintain an average run-rate of 9.65 from the outset in order to achieve victory. But, Punters 11 came all guns blazing right from the beginning, they kept taking breakthroughs and didn't allowed any batsman to settle down. Apart from Somya Azad who played a tough innings of 55, no other batsman was even able to survive. And as a result, it took only 16.1 overs for the defending side to bowl out Stallions Sameer on mere 123. Only two batsmen were able to reach the double-figure mark. Hats off to a brilliant spell from Amit, who grabbed four wickets against 32 runs, Vijay Chauhan and Ketan Pawar also earned a couple of wickets to their name.
