Stallions Sameer 178/7 in 20 overs (Shivam Tripathi 53, Nikhil Tandan 28, Astaad 3/43) beat Solitaires New-Delhi 155/9 in 20 overs (Anuj Gupta 33, Monday Grewal 2/29, Sameer 1/9) by 23 runs.
Solitaires New-Delhi had to chase down 179 runs in 20 overs. They started on a positive note as both the openers added 55 runs for the first wicket. But, Stallions Sameer made a comeback by earning wickets at regular intervals. Apart from the opening pair, no other batsman had any answers to the bowling of Stallions Sameer. Stallions Sameer used as many as seven bowling options in thier innings, Money Grewal picked up a couple of wickets while others picked up a wicket each. From the chasing side, Anuj Gupta remained the top scorer with 33 runs. In the end, Solitaires New-Delhi could not even play 20 overs and lost the game by 23 runs.
After winning the toss, Stallions Sameer elected to bat first. Somya Azad and captain Sameer came out to start the proceedings, but couldn't make a healthy contribution, they scored 15 and 10 runs respectively. Then, Stallions Sameer made a slight comeback by having a couple of partnerships in the middle of the innings. With the help of Shivam Tripathi's 53 runs off 30 balls, Stallions Sameer were able to reach a par score of 178 runs. In the last six overs of first innings, Stallions Sameer lost four wickets. Astaad and Param scalped three and two wickets respectively.
After posting 178 runs, it was always going to be a tough chase for Solitaires New-Delhi. In fact, their openers also gave a decent start, but the middle order didn't show any responsibility and hence Stallions Sameer won the game easily in the end.
