Blazewell 192/5 in 17.5 overs (Asif Khan 44*, Gaurav Negi 42*, Puneet Mehra 2/23) beat Punters 11 190/4 in 20 overs (Naman Grover 99*, Puneet Mehra 45, Asif Khan 1/27) by 5 wickets.
After Punters 11 posted 190 runs on the scoreboard, only few people would have given the chance to Blazewell. But, Blazewell batsmen played the chase really well, whether it was Anubhav Mehrotra or Gaurav Negi, the core of the batting line-up did contributed and earned a fabulous victory for their side. After the fall of Vivek Malik in the second over, Anubhav and Daman Ahuja not only recovered the innings but also maintained the required run rate, they had a partnership of 47 runs. Then came Gaurav Negi, who also paced his innings to perfection and took Blazewell to a commanding position. At last, it was a fire-powering show from Asif Khan lower down the order which ended the game little too early. He came and smashed 44 runs in 12 deliveries, hit six maximums to go with a four, and as a result, Blazewell chased down 191 runs with 13 balls to spare.
Earlier, Punters 11 won the toss and elected to bat first. Blazewell started brilliantly grabbing three wickets quickly inside the powerplay itself. Now the onus came upon the shoulders of Naman Grover and Puneet Mehra, they had to extract Punters 11 from a cramped situation and then put them in a formidable one. The duo didn't disappoint at all, in fact, they added an awesome partnership of 92 runs for the third wicket, and before Puneet got out on score of 45, the score was 140/3 in 17 overs. Then, Naman Grover played majority of the balls remaining, but unfortunately couldn't reach the triple-figure mark. He batted beautifully for his unbeaten 99 which included as many as 6 fours and 8 sixes. His innings helped Punters 11 reach a huge total of 190 runs in 20 overs. Asif Khan remained the bowler with best figures, reading 4-0-27-1, while Faizan, Sunny and Daman also bagged a wicket each to their names.
