SS Sports Club 169/7 in 20 overs (Monu Thapa 49*, Mohit Khatri 23, Afroz 2/24) beat Stallions Sameer 120 in 17.2 overs (Shivam Tripathi 28, Sachin Vashisht 4/20, Monu Thapa 3/8) by 49 runs.
After, electing to bat first, SS Sports Club posted the target of 170 runs for Stallions Sameer to chase down. Somya Azad and Sameer came out to open the innings for Stallions Sameer. They had to maintain a run rate of 8 and a half runs per over right from the outset. They started the chase in a very affirmative manner as they added 45 runs in first 5 overs before Somya Azad got dismissed by Deepak Khatri. Then what followed was a complete batting collapse, SS Sports Club perfectly grabbed the opportunity and struck with three wickets in a span of just seven deliveries. Then, Shivam Tripathi tried to recover the damage but he couldn't get any support from the other end and as a result, Sachin Vashisht with his company, outbowled the opposition to win the game by a decent margin of 49 runs. Sachin bowled beautiful spell of 4/20 while Monu Thapa shined for his all-round performance with figures of 3/8. In the end, they bowled out Stallions Sameer for 120 with 16 balls to spare.
In the first innings, SS Sports Club's opening duo of Nadim Khan and Rahul Mehra came out to start the proceedings. SS Sports Club didn't had a great start to their innings as they lost four wickets in nine overs with just 55 runs on board. Now, the onus relied on Deepak Khatri and Monu Thapa. They gave their best and were able to add 49 runs for the fifth wicket. Monu Thapa's brilliant contribution of unbeaten 49 off just 29 balls helped his side to get the total of 169 runs at the end of first innings. Little cameos from Naksh and Mohit Khatri also made the difference to the final total. From the bowling side, Afroz remained the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2/24.
