Hello and welcome everyone. After the second lockdown, cricket is finally back. The corporates are all set and we are thrilled to witness some exciting cricket at this time of season. So, here we are, bringing the coverage of Sloggers Champion Bash. The tournament will be played on Eventeneurs Royale of Gurgaon and 8 different teams will be participating.

Punters 11 181 in 20 overs (Naman Grover 110, Puneet Mehra 31, Sachin Vashisht 4/30) beat SS Sports Club 97 in 15.1 overs (Monu Thapa 41, Suyash 3/12, Samir 2/16) by 84 runs.
The inaugural match of the Sloggers Champion Bash was played between Punters 11 and SS Sports Club at Eventeneurs Royale ground. It was Punters 11 who won the toss and elected to bat first. They did not had a great start to the contest as they lost their first four wickets at a very early stage. At the end of eight overs, their score read 48/4. But what followed next was just appreciable and commendable. Naman Grover single handedly flipped the dice around. He dramatically changed the scenario of the innings and gave this tournament a perfect start by scoring a magical century. He scored 110 runs with a strike rate of 200, hit as many as 11 fours and 7 sixes in his marathon innings. It was his innings which helped the defending side to put 181 runs on the board. From SS Sports Club, Sachin Vashisht picked up four wickets that includes the fist hattric of the league to his name against 30 runs.
As the chase started, Deepanshu Phore and Nadim Khan 123 came out to start the proceedings for SS Sports Club. But they couldn’t managed to score much and went out cheaply on the respective scores of 4 and 15. After the fall of first wicket, Punters 11 did a fantastic job as they kept taking wickets and never allowed the chasing side to settle down. Almost all the bowlers contributed and bowled SS Sports Club out for a mere 97 in just 15.1 overs. Suyash bowled a wonderful spell of 3/12 in four overs while both Samir and Ketan Pawar grabbed two wickets each. With the help of such an all-round performance, Punters 11 win their opening match by 84 runs.
