Wicket Warriors Endurance Cup 2017 was organized between 10th Sep’17 to 12th Nov.’17 at Chandigarh.
Out of the 6 participant teams, the final was played between Goyal bhatheja XI and WW Gladiators at Sector 16 Cricket Stadium, Chandigarh on 12th Nov.’17.
Goyal Bhatheja XI won the toss and elected to bat. Saurabh Kumar was on fire as he scored 74 runs in just 36 balls by hitting 9 fours and 4 sixes. Team ended up scoring 133 runs at the end of 15 overs first innings.
WW Gladiators did not manage to score at a very good pace in their first innings and scored 67 runs with the loss of 3 wickets at the end of 15 overs.
Goyal Bhatheja XI started their 2nd innings with the trail of 66 runs. Nishant Naithani and Varun Panwar remained not out by adding 75 (50) and 36 (34) runs respectively. Team wrapped up the innings by scoring 125 runs with the loss of 1 wicket.
While chasing, WW Gladiator tried to gave a good fight with all the players contributing in the final score. However, team failed to score at a required pace and closed the innings at 101 runs by losing 7 wickets.
Goyal Bhatheja XI won the final by 90 runs against WW Gladiators in Wicked Warriors Endurance Cup 2017.
