Rogers 11 126/6 in 18.3 overs (Himanshu 26*, Shailender Singh 19, Deepak Khanna 2/16) beat A One Cricket Club 125/8 in 20 overs (Karamveer Dagar 43, Sheraj 3/38, Dinesh Kabira 2/27) by 4 wickets.
The second week of the KPL Gold Cup took off early in the morning when A One Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bat first. But they couldn't capatalize much as they managed only 125 runs in their 20 overs. So the target for Rogers 11 was 126 and they needed a persistent batting to achieve the respective target. The opening-duo of Rogers 11 provided them with a steady start and added 31 runs for the first before Abhishek was clean bowled by Saket in the last over of fielding restrictions. After Harsh and Shailender Singh had a partnership of 20 runs for the second wicket, Rogers 11 underwent a mini-collapse in between when they lost three wickets in a span of six deliveries. Thereafter, things went all okay for Rogers 11 as Himanshu remained unbeaten on 26* and guided his side to a comfortable victory by six wickets. Wicket-keeper Sidharth played well for his 19 runs which contained a four and a six. Talking about the bowling, Deepak Khanna was pick of the bowlers whose figures read 2 for 16, apart from him, Saket, Chaudhary, Karamveer and Lokesh Chandila took a wicket each.
After winning the toss and electing to bat, A One Cricket Club would have hoped for a better show from their batting unit. Their openers gave them a good start but they couldn't raise the run-rate and were going just less than run-a-ball, they were 46/0 after 7 overs. As soon as Panchal got out in the eighth over, A One Cricket Club was outbowled by a very fine bowling performance from Rogers 11. Karamveer Dagar was the highest scorer with 43 and Saket also contributed 21 runs lower down the order. Rogers 11's Sheraj and Kabira scalped three and two wickets respectively. Shailender Singh's lone wicket and Tahir Saifi's stellar figures of 3-2-7-1 restricted A One Cricket Club to a modest total of 125.
With this win, Rogers 11 top their pool with a better NRR over The Scorpions who are also with two points. Though, it is too early to predict who will be qualifying for next round, but the initial wins will certainly boost-up the morale of Rogers 11.
