Amul Cricket Tournament was organized between 2nd Nov.’17 to 11th Nov.’17 at Gandhinagar.
20 teams from different departments participated in the tournament. The final of Amul Cricket Tournament was held on 11th Nov.’17 at Gurukul Ground, Gandhinagar between Ice Cream Panther and Powder Challenger.
Ice Cream Panther won the toss and elected to bat. Despite losing some early wickets, team managed to score 97 runs at the end of 15 overs with the loss of 9 wickets. Hardik Chaudhary, who remained not out till the end scoring fiery 46 in 28 balls by hitting 6 fours and 1 six gave much needed boost to the final score. Bowling highlight of the innings was Bharat Dodiya from Powder Challenger, who took 3 wickets in 3 overs.
While chasing, Powder Challenger got a good start with both opening batsmen scoring at a good pace. Dhaval Bhaskar, who remained not out till the end scored 53 runs in 44 balls with 5 fours and 1 six. Captain Bharat Dodiya too played a good innings and added 26 runs in 16 balls. Powder Challenger chased down the target in 14.1 overs by losing 6 wickets.
