Ahmedabad University Cricket Cup (AUCC) was organized between 6th Nov.’17 to 10th Nov.’17.
Out of 6 participant teams, the final was played between SEAC (AUCC) and PDPU (AUCC) on 10th Nov.’17 at AES Sports Complex, Ahmedabad. It was an exciting match till the last ball.
After electing to bat, SEAC (AUCC) did not manage to get a good start as team lost some important wickets in early overs. However, players continued to add runs at a steady pace and team ended up at a reasonable score of 101 runs at the end of 20 overs by losing 7 wickets. Highest scorer was Daivat Bhatt with 28 runs. Saurish Chakraborty from PDPU (AUCC) bowled really well and took 3 wickets in 4 overs.
Despite getting a poor start, PDPU (AUCC) gave a very good fight to SEAC (AUCC) till the last over. Though the players tried really well to achieve the target, team falls short of 1 run for winning the final. Highest scorer was Jinel Patel ( c & wk), who scored 31 runs in 37 balls. Team ended up scoring 100 runs in 20 overs after losing all wickets.
SEAC (AUCC) won the final of Ahmedabad University Cricket Cup by 1 run against PDPU (AUCC).
Player of the match was Daivat Bhatt from SEAC (AUCC).
