In a short game of six overs each, it is really hard to predict what will be a decent score to defend. Only one batsman is enough to take the charge and guide his team to victory. Ramdev Royals had to chase down 54 runs in their six overs. Yes, it was quite a small target but they had to bat well and make sure they did not lose too many wickets initially. Ramesh Akki started the proceedings in style as he hit couple of maximums in the first over itself. Then came Shankar Choudhary, he dismissed both the openers in his over and it seemed for a moment winds have changed their direction. But Suresh Choudhary had other ideas, he made sure he finishes it off for the Royals as he hit a four to go with three sixes and took the trophy home for Ramdev Royals. He came in and wasted no time to give a move-on to his team, won the match with seven balls to spare.
In a short game of six overs, it is better advised to chase and Ramdev Royals did exactly the same, they elected to field first after winning the toss. Dalpat Patel, Jitu Patel and Om restricted Aanjana Royals from getting a big total as they all took two wickets each. Though, batting side lost their first wicket early, but Hansraj played well for his 15, he was also looking for a big total before Dalpat made his comeback. Suddenly, Aanjana Royals lost three wickets in a span of a single run. At last they managed 53 runs in six overs, which was not enough.
The quick-fire six-overs tournament, lasting for just two days was really a rapid one, along with that a delighting experience to remember.
