Storm Strikers 95/2 in 8.4 overs (Umesh 72*, Ejipura 15, Muneerpasha 0/11) defeated Delta Force 91/7 in 12 overs (Ajay Nakarakanti 33*, Ujwal Gupta 23, Vinod Kumar 2/8) by 8 wickets.

Finally after 55 days of long tournament, we have got the winners of the SGPL 2019 and it is the Storm Strikers who are the trophy-lifters this time. Delta Force posted the target of 92 in 12 overs, Strikers chased down the target in the ninth over, courtesy fireworks from the willow of Umesh who remained unbeaten on 72. But their chase did not started in a very great manner as Vinod Kumar suffered run-out on the very first ball of the innings. Then it was a one-man show by the big man Umesh who went on to hit nine maximums and just a boundary, he faced only 32 deliveries for his 72. Ejipura played his role by rotating strike, he was also run-out for 15, but none of the bowlers from the Delta Force's side was able to make an impact on batsmen. Barring Muneerpasha, who conceded 11 runs off his two overs, everyone went for runs, every bowler of the Delta Force was finding himself clueless and wicketless.

Well it is always recommended to bat first in a high-pressure game and Delta Force did nothing different on the Friday noon. Yes they did elected to bat but their innings did not started in a very decent manner as they kept losing wickets in cluster. Four of their batsmen scored just a single before getting out, only Nakarakanti and Ujwal Gupta played good knocks to take their team to a formidable total. In the end, they somehow managed to get 91 runs on board. Vinod Kumar and Suneel were pick of the bowlers, they took couple each and were able to restrict the batting side inside hundred. They both were well supported by Naveen Kumar and Gajendra Gowda who also took a wicket each and were economical as well.

If we talk about whole tournament, R Nayak (Delta Force) followed by Umesh (Storm Strikers) have been the leading run-getters with 186 and 168 runs repectively and Suneel (Storm Strikers) with 13 wickets and R Reddy, Akshay Sharma and Gajendra Gowda with 12 wickets each are among the leading wicket-takers of the tournament. There have been many appreciable performances not only indivisually but also as a unit. SGPL 2019 (Mens) has been a series to cherish. This is Anurag Dwivedi, on behalf of whole Cricheroes team taking your leave, goodbye!!
