One of the most prestigious tournaments - Sindhi Premier League (SPL) 2017 started on 5th Nov.’17 at Ahmedabad.
12 teams from different verticals are participating in this tournament.
Four matches were played on the first day of the tournament :
1. Mean Machines (SPL) VS Unity Rules (SPL) :
The match was played at Maninagar Railway Cricket Ground. Means Machines (SPL) won the toss and elected to bat. Team ended up scoring 109 runs in 18.5 overs after losing all wickets. Unity Rules (SPL) played a wonderful innings and achieved the target in 17.2 overs.
Unity Rules (SPL) won the match by 8 wickets.
2. Achievers (SPL) VS Pitch Smashers (SPL)
The match was played at SGVP Cricket Ground. Pitch Smashers (SPL) won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, Achievers (SPL) scored 106 runs in 17.4 overs by losing all wickets. While replying, Pitch Smashers (SPL) gave a good fight and reached at 109 runs in 19.4 overs after losing 9 wickets.
Pitch Smashers (SPL) won the match by 1 wicket.
3. Masters (SPL) VS Rising Star (SPL)
The match was held at Maninagar Railway Cricket Ground. Rising Star (SLP) won the toss and elected to field. It was a nail-biting match as both teams played extremely well. Masters (SPL) had some wonderful performances and they ended up scoring 176 runs in 20 overs by losing 8 overs. While chasing the target, Rising Star (SPL) too played very well and gave fight till the last over. Team ended up scoring 175 runs after 20 overs after losing 8 wickets.
Masters (SPL) won the match by 1 run.
4. Tigers (SPL) VS Satellite (SPL)
The match was played at SGVP Cricket Ground, Ahmedabad. Tigers (SPL) won the toss and elected to bat. Tigers (SPL) scored 150 runs in 20 overs after losing 6 wickets. Satellite King (SPL) played a good innings with all the players contributing well. However, they failed to score at a required pace and ended up scoring 146 runs in 20 overs.
Satellite King (SPL) lost the match by 4 runs against Tigers (SPL).
