Gurjar Gaud Premier League 2017 ended with an interesting final, which was played between two of the strongest teams - SMCC (Chani) and Maharshi Gotam Cricket Club (Kolasar) on 31st Oct.’17 at Railway Ground- Bikaner.
SMCC (Chani) won the toss and elected to bat. Team did not get a good start as they started to lose wickets from early overs. Pawan Junior’s batting performance was only saviour grace for the team. He scored 37 runs in 35 balls by hitting 2 fours and 1 six. SMCC (Chani) closed at 110 runs in 19.5 overs by losing all wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Parmod Sankhi from Maharshi Gotam Cricket Club (Kolasar), who took 3 wickets in 4 overs.
While chasing the target of 111 runs, Maharshi Gotam Cricket Club (Kolasar) too did not get a good start. Team lost some early wickets in quick succession. However, team gave a good fight till the last over. Radhesyam and Sharavan Kumar Upadhyay scored 39 and 24 runs respectively adding to the score steadily. But Maharshi Gotam Cricket Club (Kolasar) failed to score at required pace and closed at 105 runs after losing 8 wickets. Bowling highest of the innings was Ved Prakash Joshi from SMCC (Chani), who took 3 wickets in 4 overs.
SMCC (Chani) won the final of Gurjar Gaud Premier League 2017 by 5 runs against Maharshi Gotam Cricket Club (Kolasar).
