Rajendra CC 64/9 in 8 Overs (Ambadas 28, Chetan 19, Bhaskar 4/15) lost to Mahendra CC 68/2 in 5.3 Overs (Yusuf 32, Rahul 17, Onkar 1/8) by 8 wickets

The 2019 season of Aamdar Pranititai Chashak concluded with some magnificent individual performances in the final at the Pani Taki ground. 25 teams competed in a knockout format for over five days and in the end, Rajendra CC and Mahendra CC were the two teams who toppled all the other opponents.

The much anticipated final got off the way on the evening of 20th of September. Rajendra CC won the toss and elected to bat first. Bhaskar had his first victim of the inning in the very first over in the form of Rakesh who was caught by the wicketkeeper Yusuf for 1. Ambadas took on the bowlers from ball one and he maintained the strike with him too. As a result, Raju could manage only 7 out of a partnership of 29 before he was dismissed.

Skipper Chetan, along with Ambadas added further 19 runs. RCC were looking well set to go above the figures of 85 at this point in time but this is where Vishal foxed Ambadas for 28. The wicket triggered a collapse and the RCC lost their next 7 wickets for just 13 runs. An inning that looked like heading towards 100, folded for 64.

Mahendra CC opener Yusuf announced his intentions from ball one. He pummeled a wayward Rohan for 22 in the very first over (which included 11 extras). Onkar managed to dismiss Bhaskar for 1 in the next over but that was of no good to them. Rahul joined Yusuf in the middle and the pair continued to exploit the wayward RCC bowlers. Finally Mahesh managed to remove Yusuf in the fourth over but the damage was done by that time. Vinod and Rahul didn’t let go of the advantage as they cautiously guided their team past the line.
