Ajay Vacheta slammed a quick-fire half century as Drive-In CC (DICC) edged out Millennium CC (MCC) by 13 runs as they won the Pre- Season T20 Cricket Tournament on Thursday. Asked to bat, DICC rode on Ajay’s 32-ball 62 to post 147 in 19.5 overs. Parakramsinh Solanki (33-ball 30) and Urvish Thummar (10-ball 22) added useful runs. For MCC, Dharmesh Merchant and Nilesh Chauhan, who was adjudged player of the tournament, took three wickets each. Rushi Patel then led the chase with 45-ball 56 while Nilesh added 25-ball 34. But their efforts could not see MCC through as their batsmen could not pace the innings well. Rakesh Kahar took three wickets as DICC restricted their rivals to 134 for nine in 20 overs to win the match. Meanwhile, Jaikishan Parwani of Rameshwar CC was adjudged as the best batsman while Parth Chaudhary of UCA was named as the best bowler.
