Out of 6 participant teams, the final was played between New Gujarat CC and Gujarat CC on 25th Oct’17.
New Gujarat CC won the toss and elected to bat. Proving their decision right, team started scoring at a good pace. Malo Acb was on fire as he smashed 60 runs in 32 balls by hitting 4 fours and 4 sixes. New Gujarat CC closed at score of 125 runs at the end of 15 overs after losing 7 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Chauhan Aslam from Gujarat CC, who took 3 important wickets in 3 overs.
While chasing the target, Gujara CC started to fumble from the early overs. None of the players managed to score well against the attacking bowling of New Gujarat CC. Naim Siyad was the highest scorer, who made 38 runs in 16 balls by hitting 5 sixes. Bowling highlight of the innings was Parvej Malik from New Gujarat CC, who took 3 important wickets in 3 overs. Team lost all the wickets in 13.3 overs after scoring 84 runs.
New Gujarat CC won the final by 41 runs against Gujarat CC in Diwali Cup.
