The most cherished tournament - ACA Inter District U-14 League 2017-18 ended with an interesting final played between Krishna U-14 and Anantapur U-14 on 15th Oct’17 at Tarakarama Krida Pranganam, Venkatgiri.
Anantapur U-14 won the toss and elected to field. Despite being one of the strongest teams of the tournament, Krishna U-14 failed to deliver the same performance in the final. Team started to lose wickets from early overs and ended up scoring 56 runs in their first innings. MK. Lohith Sai Kishore and G. Mallikarjuna from Anantapur U-14 bowled extremely well and took 4 - 4 wickets respectively.
On the other hand, Anantapur U-14 got a very good start with opening batsman M. Jai Krishna (c) scoring 72 runs. Remaining players too added to the score steadily. Anantapur U-14 reached to 126 runs at the end of day by losing 5 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was L Chinna from Krishna U-14, who took 3 important wickets.
Match was drawn but Anantapur U-14 was declared winner on the basis of 1st innings lead.
