Games Hub Monsoon Cricket League 2017 was played between 4th Aug’17 to 12th Oct’17 at Gurugram (aka Gurgaon).
Out of 8 participant teams, the final was played between Phoenix Cricket Academy and GVCA at Games Hub 2- Gurgaon on 12th Oct’17.
GVCA won the toss and elected to field. They bowled extremely well and Phoenix Cricket Academy did not get a chance to put up good score for the final match. Wickets started to fall from early overs and entire team collapsed in 27. 4 overs scoring 80 runs. Bowling highlight of the innings was Gaurav Negi from GVCA, who took 3 wickets in 7 overs by giving only 15 runs with 2 maiden overs.
While replying, GVCA too lost some important wickets in the first few overs. However, the target was easy to achieve for the team and they managed to score 81 runs in 15.1 overs after losing 5 wickets. Gaurav Negi shined again with his wonderful batting performance as he scored 42 runs in 40 balls.
GVCA won the final against Phoenix Cricket Academy by 6 wickets.
