The final of much celebrated tournament U-22 Dhirubhai Ambani Inter College One Day Tournament 2017-18 was played between L.J. Institute of College and Silver Oak Eng. College on 10th Oct’17 at C.N. Vidyalay- Ahmedabad.
L.J. Institute of College won the toss and elected to field. Proving their decision right, they did not allow any players of the opponent team to score well. Wickets started to fall from early overs. None of the players from Silver Oak Eng.College managed to score significantly and the team bundled up at 123 runs in 38.5 overs. Highest scorer was Rutvik Parmar with 30 runs. Pick of the bowlers was Preet Dixit from L.J.Institute of College, who took 2 wickets in 7 overs by giving only 18 runs with 3 maiden overs.
While replying, L.J. Institute of College got a wonderful start with both opening batsmen scoring at a good pace. Yash Barot smashed 61 runs in 41 balls by hitting 9 fours and 2 sixes. Hemil Panchiwala too played well and added 37 runs in 37 balls. Team managed to score 127 runs in 15.3 overs after losing 2 wickets.
