NIPL COSCO tournament was organised between 10th Sep’17 to 8th Oct’17 at Chennai.
Out of the 18 participant teams, final was played between two strongest teams of the tournament- Chennai Star Kings and Fame Sailors on 8th Oct’17 at Amir Mahal Ground, Royapetta- Chennai.
Chennai Star Kings won the toss and elected to bat. All the players scored at a very good pace and team ended up scoring 156 runs in 15 overs by losing 5 wickets. Highest scorer was Dinesh Seervi, who scored 56 runs in 34 balls hitting 5 fours and 4 sixes.
While replying, Fame Sailors failed to perform under pressure and started to lose wickets from early overs. None of the players managed to score significantly and team bundled up at 84 runs in 13.4 overs. Bowling highlight of the innings was Dev from Chennai Star Kings, who took 3 wickets in 3 overs.
Chennai Star Kings won the final by 72 runs against Fame Sailors.
