Vedhant Trophy U-14 was organized between 15th May’19 to 7th Jun.’19 at Pune.
8 teams from different cricket academies participated in this much celebrated tournament from which, an all-important final was played between Varroc Vengsarkar Cricket Academy U14 and Club of Maharashtra U14 on 7th Jun.’19 at Vedhant Cricket Ground-Pune.
Electing to bat, Varroc Vengsarkar Cricket Academy U14 played a terrific innings and put up a huge score of 187 runs in 25 overs with the loss of 1 wicket. Anurag Kawade shown some exception batting skills as he smashed unbeaten 104 runs off 76 balls with 13 boundaries and 1 six. Vaibhav Agam supported him well from the other end by scoring 59 run in 66 balls and remained not out. None of the bowlers from Club Of Maharashtra U 14 succeed to restrict the run flow of Varroc Vengsarkar Cricket Academy U14 .
While replying, Club Of Maharashtra U 14 never get a chance to take off as wickets started to fall from early overs. The highest scorer was Abhijeet, who managed to score 20 runs off 15 balls. Rest of the players were dismissed in 10’s against strong bowling attack from Varroc Vengsarkar Cricket Academy U14 and crumbed at the score of 81 runs in 20.3 overs. Pick of the bowlers was Saksham Kadlag, who scalped 3 wickets in 5 overs giving only 15 runs. Anshul Hampayya and Kabir Bhattacharjee to bowled well and picked 2 wickets each rattling the rival’s boat completely.
Varroc Vengsarkar Cricket Academy U14 registered a glorious 106 run win over Club Of Maharashtra U 14 in the final of Vedhant Trophy U-14.
