SAURASHTRA CRICKET TOURNAMENT SEASON -18 MB 2019 was played between 10th May’19 to 31st May’19 at Rajkot.
10 teams from various verticals participated in the tournament from which, the final was played between (YCCi) Youngster Cricket Club and GJ XI on 31st May’19 at Rajkot.
Electing to bat, (YCCi) Youngster Cricket Club played a wonderful innings with almost all the players contributing significantly for the final score. Highest scorer was Harshit Bhatt, who smashed unbeaten 70 runs off 59 balls with 8 boundaries and 1 six. Arjun Rathod too played well and added 39 runs at a fast rate leading team to a good score. With all the players performing well, team put up a good score of 165 runs at the end of 20 overs by losing 3 wickets.
While chasing, GJ XI too gave a good fight till the last over. However, team went on losing wickets at regular intervals which reduced their pace team fell short of 14 runs from achieving the target. The highest scorers were Pratik Madalia and Abhal Karetha, who scored 47 and 48 runs respectively at fast rate. Since other players did not manage to score well against strong bowling attack from (YCCi) Youngster Cricket Club, team ended up scoring 151 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 9 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Arjun Rathod, who picked 2 important wickets in 4 overs.
(YCCi) Youngster Cricket Club won the final of SAURASHTRA CRICKET TOURNAMENT SEASON -18 MB 2019 by 14 runs against GJ XI.
Arjun Rathod from (YCCi) Youngster Cricket Club was awarded as the player of the match for his all round performance.
