Goa Cricket Tournament 2017 was played between 3rd Oct’17 - 5th Oct- 17. The final of this tournament was held on 5th Oct’17 at Shiroda Sport Complex.
Out of 6 participant teams, the final was played between Sanjay Tomar Sports Club and Tomar Cricket Academy.
Sanjay Tomar Sports Club won the toss and elected bat. Opening batsman Om Shahi started well scoring 56 runs in 39 balls. However, remaining players did not manage to perform well. Kunal Singh from Tomar Cricket Academy bowled extremely well and took 5 wickets in 3 overs damaging the entire batting line up of Sanjay Tomar Sports Club. Team bundled up scoring 88 runs in 14.2 overs.
While chasing the target, Tomar Cricket Academy started to fumble from early overs. Attacking bowling by Sanjay Tomar Sports Club did not allow any of the players to score freely. Mahesh Uppal was the highest scorer with 24 runs. Somesh from Sanjay Tomar Sports Club took 5 important wickets in 3 overs and team collapsed at 12.3 overs by making 54 runs.
Sanjay Tomar Sports Club won the final by 34 runs against Tomar Cricket Academy.
