Pinak Corporate League Blast (Night) -organized by Pinak Group of Companies played between 4th May’19 to 23rd May’19 at Ahmedabad.
20 teams from different corporates participated in this much cherished tournament from which, the crucial final was played between Kings Cargo and Arvind Limited on 23rd May’19 at SS Club Cricket Ground- Ahmedabad.
Electing to bat, Kings Cargo had an excellent start with opening batsman Fahim Shaikh smashing 105 runs off 52 balls with 10 boundaries and 8 sixes. Captain Sarfaraz Diwan too played a wonderful innings and added 61 runs at a fast pace from the other end helping team put up a big target for the final clash. Team ended at a huge score of 205 at the end of 20 overs with the loss of 2 wickets.
While replying, Arvind Limited did not manage to get a good start and went on losing wickets from early overs. However, Chirag Dixit, who came to bat on 3rd position played really well and posted a good score of 69 runs in 47 balls with 11 boundaries and 1 six giving much needed boost to the score. Though remaining players failed to perform against aggressive bowling attack from Kings Cargo. With the majority of the players being restricted at single digits, team crumbled at 141 in 17.1 overs. Azaz Shaikh’s 4/17 played proved instrumental in Arvind Limited’s early collapse. Safir Salar too chipped in with 3 wickets, which damaged the batting line of opponent team completely.
Kings Cargo posted a huge 64 run win over Arvind Limited in the final of Pinak Corporate League Blast (Night).
Fahim Shaikh from Kings Cargo was awarded as the player of the match for his excellent contribution.
