The final of much celebrated tournament Raipur Premier League Season 4 (RPL 4) was held at University Ground-Raipur on 5th Oct.’17. It was played between V.I.P. Cricket Academy (RPL 4) and Forest (RPL 4).
V.I.P. Cricket Academy (RPL 4) won the toss and elected to bat. The team did not get a very good start. Wickets started to fall from early overs and players failed to score significantly. Highest scorer was Harsh with 27 runs. Forest (RPL 4)’s bowling attack was quite strong as they kept on taking wickets at regular intervals. Manoj Singh from Forest (RPL 4) bowled exceptionally well and took 5 wickets in 8 overs by giving only 21 runs. V.I.P. Cricket Academy (RPL 4) ended up scoring 120 runs in 30.4 overs by losing all wickets.
The target was not very difficult to defend for Forest (RPL 4). Team got a good start with Opening batsman Vipin Singh scoring 66 runs in 63 balls and remained not out. V.I.P. Cricket Academy (RPL 4) failed to take wickets and Forest (RPL 4) managed to reach the target easily. The team scored 122 runs in 21.2 overs after losing 4 wickets.
Forest (RPL 4) won the final by 6 wickets and became the champions of Raipur Premier League Season 4 (RPL 4).
Player of the match was Manoj Singh from Forest (RPL 4).
Shashank Chandrakar from Terminator CA (RPL 4) was awarded as the Player of the tournament, Best Batsman and Best Bowler for the tournament for his outstanding performance in all the matches.
