Uran Premier League 2019 was organized between 1st May’19 and 19th May’19 at Uran.
8 teams from various verticals participated in this much cherished tournament from which, the crucial final was played between D P Lions and Bhendkhal Kings on 19th May’19 at JNPT Ground- Uran.
Bhendkhal Kings won the toss and elected to bowl. Batting first, D P Lions did not get a good start and lost some important wickets in early overs. However, Captain Sandeep Patil performed well and scored 38 runs off 31 balls giving team much needed stability. Virendra Thakur supported him well from the other end by adding up useful 17 runs at a fast pace. D P Lions posted a reasonable score of 126 runs at the end of 20 overs with the loss of 7 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Siddharth Mhatre from Bhendkhal Kings with 2 wickets.
While replying, Bhendkhal Kings got a very good start with opening batsman Siddharth Mhatre smashing 48 runs in 45 balls with 7 boundaries. Sagar Patil too played well and added 28 runs at a fast pace, which followed by a strong innings from Vishal Thakur, who scored an unbeaten 22 runs. However, despite trying extremely well, team failed to score at required pace and fell short of just 4 runs from reaching at target. Bhendkhal Kings scored 122 runs at the end of 20 overs by losing 3 wickets.
D P Lions won a thrilling final of Uran Premier League 2019 by 4 runs against Bhendkhal Kings.
