STPL -1 2019 - organized by Saurashtra Textile Traders Association was played between 8th May ‘19 to 12th May ‘19 at Surat.
Out of 16 participant teams, an all-important final of this heavily followed tournament was played between Apple and Tarrah on 12th May’19 at L.P. Savani Sports Complex - Surat.
Tarrah won the toss and elected to bowl. Batting first, Apple scored at a fast rate and posted a competitive score of 160 runs in 16 overs by losing all wickets. The major contributor was Chirag Jadav, who scored 39 runs off 22 balls with 5 boundaries and 2 sixes. The other player, performed well was Rahul Khorasia, who scored useful 24 runs at a fast pace during last overs helping team set up a good score for the final clash.
While replying, Tarrah got a good start with opening batsman Senil Jasoliya scoring 24 runs in 14 balls. Bhavya on the other end was on fire as he smashed 116 runs in just 53 balls with 8 boundaries and 11 sixes taking team close to the final score. With his outstanding performance, Tarrah achieved the target in just 14.2 overs with the loss of 5 wickets without struggle.
Tarrah registered a 4 wicket win over Apple in the final of STPL- 1 2019.
Bhavya from Tarrah was awarded as the player of the match for his all-round contribution.
