Mahaveer Chashak 2019 was organized between 3rd May 2019 to 12th May 2019 at Ahmednagar.
20 teams from various verticals participated in this heavily followed tournament from which, the crucial final was played between Samrat Ply Warriors and Bhandari-11 on 12th May’19 at Bhausaheb Firodiya- Ahmednagar.
Bhandari -11 won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, Samrat Ply Warriors failed to get a good start. Manoj Chopda, who came to bat on 3rd position played well and scored 27 runs off 25 balls with 2 boundaries. The other major contributors were Kiran Bhandari and Pranav Munot, who added 11 and 12 runs respectively helping team reach at a reasonable score of 71 runs at the end of 12 overs by losing 9 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Prem Shah from Bhandari-11, who scalped 3 wickets in 3 overs. Shripal Shah too chipped in with 3 more wickets restricting Samrat Ply Warriors from putting up a big score.
While replying, Bhandari- 11 never got a chance to score well against the strong bowling attack from Samrat Ply Warriors. The only player, who managed to add a double digit score was Shripal Shah with 24 runs. Rest of the players were dismissed within 10 runs and team ended up scoring 62 runs in 12 overs with the loss of 8 wickets. Though all the bowlers of Samrat Ply Warriors performed really well, pick of the lot was Pritam Mutha, who took 3 crucial wickets in 3 overs.
