Champions Cricket League Season -4 2019 was played between 23rd Feb.’19 to 11th May ‘19 at Hyderabad.
18 teams from various verticals participated in this tournament from which, an-important final was played between Rising Dazzlers and Battle Masters on 11th May’19 at Green Hamsa Cricket Ground- Hyderabad.
Battle Masters won the toss and elected to bowl. Proving their decision right, they restricted Rising Dazzlers at an average score of 102 runs in 18.2 overs. Highest scorers were Prasad and Harry with 22 and 20 runs respectively. Remaining players failed to score well against a strong bowling attack from Battle Masters. Most of the bowlers performed really well but pick of the lot was Stalin Mohapatra, who picked 3 wickets in 4 overs giving only 16 runs. While chasing, Battle Masters did not get a very good start and lost some important wickets in early overs. Mriganka D played a good innings and made 18 runs with 2 boundaries giving team much needed stability. Captain JP Das supported him well as he added important 20 runs from the other end at fast rate. However,Rising Dazzlers bowlers succeeded in picking up wickets at regular intervals making it difficult for Battle Masters to chase the target of 103 runs. It was Rohit Chivukula’s knock of unbeaten 26 runs during crucial overs proved instrumental for Battle Masters in reaching at the final score of 103 runs in 19.5 overs by losing 9 wickets. Bowling highlight of the innings was Shabbir Md from Rising Dazzlers with 3 wickets.
It was a nail-biting match till the last over, which went in favour of Battle Masters as they won the final by 1 run.
Stalin Mohapatra from Battle Masters was awarded as the player of the match for his significant contribution.
