Chittoor U-14 performed extremely well in the recent match of ACA Inter District U-14 League 2017-18 at KORM College Ground- Kadapa.
In an interesting match, Vizianagaram U-14 won the toss and elected to field. The decision proved quite wrong for them as Chittoor U-14 played a wonderful innings and scored 241 runs with the loss of 9 wickets. K.Sai Guna Deep played extremely well and scored 104 runs in 105 balls by hitting seventeen 4’s. Opening batsman J. Tapatesh too played well and scored 70 runs. Pick of the bowlers was D Vamsi Krishna from Vizianagaram U-14, who took 5 wickets.
While replying, Visianagaram U-14 failed to score at a required pace and started to lose wickets from early overs. None of the batsmen managed to stay on crease for long. Highest scorer was K. Sai Satwik (wk) with 37 runs. Team bundled up scoring 111 runs in their first innings after losing all the wickets. L.Naveed from Chittoor U-14 bowled really well and took 5 wickets in 23.2 overs by giving only 19 runs with 14 maiden overs.
Vizianagaram U-14 started their 2nd innings with the follow on of 130 runs. Team had a better start as opening batsman K. Sai Satwik (wk) scored 90 runs. However, remaining players failed to perform in the same way and team collapsed after making 155 runs.L. Naveed from Chittoor U-14 shined again as he took 3 wickets in 22 overs by giving only 57 runs.
Chittoor U-14 started their innings with K. Sai Guna Deep scoring 24 runs in 23 balls. The team was at 28 runs with no loss at the end of the day.
Chittoor U-14 won the match by 10 wickets in against Vizianagarm U-14.
