NATIONAL CUP SEASON -1 2019 was organized between 20th Jan.’19 to 5th May’19 at Jaipur.
Out of 16 participant teams, an all-important final of this much cherished tournament was played between Jaipur Royal Strikers and Electric Power (Narayana) on 5th May’19 at Narayana Sports Academy Ground- Jaipur.
Electing to bat, Jaipur Royal Strikers started to lose wickets from the very beginning. The highest scorers were Rahul and Anwar Sheikh, who scored 31 and 22 runs respectively at fast rate. However, other players failed to prove their mettle and team ended at a reasonable score of 136 runs in 20 overs by losing 9 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Himmat Singh Rathod from Electric Power (Narayana) with 3 wickets.
While replying, Electric Power (Narayana) never actually got a chance to score well as team went on losing wickets at regular intervals. Nitesh Yadav was the only player, who managed to reach the score of 25 runs in 12 balls with 2 boundaries and 1 six. Rest of the players were dismissed in 10’s or single digits resulted in early collapse of Electric Power (Narayana). Team crumbled at the score of 104 runs in 14.5 oves. The chief wrecker was Sanjay Khan from Jaipur Royal Strikers, who scalped 5 wickets in 3.5 overs rattling the rival’s boat completely. Rohit Saini too chipped in with 2 important wickets damaging the batting line up of the opponent badly.
Jaipur Royal Strikers won the final of National Cup Season-1 2019 by 32 runs against Electric Power (Narayana).
Sanjay Khan from Jaipur Royal Strikers was awarded as the player of the match for his outstanding contribution.
