Second Innings Corporate Cup (First Edition) 2019 was organized between 13th Jan.’19 to 30th Apr.’19 at Delhi, Noida and Greater Noida.
25 teams from various verticals participated in this much cherished tournament from which, the final an interesting final was played between PBL and Daisy Motors on 28th Apr.’19.
Daisy Motors won the toss and opted to bowl. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals PBL posted a competitive score of 170 runs at the end of 20 overs by losing all wickets. The key contributor was Dhanpal Negi, who smashed 51 runs off 21 balls with 1 boundary and 7 sixes. The other major contributors were Ravi Uniyal and Harendra Rawat with 24 and 25 runs respectively. Pick of the bowlers was Himanshu Bisnoi from Daisy Motors, who picked 3 wickets in 4 overs.
While chasing, Daisy Motors lost some important wickets in early overs. However, the strong partnership between Mohan and Sunny, who scored 54 and 58 runs at fast rate put team to a stable position, but other players failed to prove their mettle and team continued to lose wickets at regular intervals. Despite trying well, Daisy Motors failed score at required rate fell short of 5 runs and ended up scoring 165 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 8 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Subodh Badola, who took 2 wickets in 4 overs.
