INTER GMERS COSMOS 2K19 was organized between 15th Apr.’19 to 19th Apr.’19 at Dharpur and Patan.
Out of 21 participant teams, an all-important final of this highly followed tournament was played between D5- Sola Shivaji 11 and C4- DMC United 11 on 19th Apr.’19 at Dharpur.
C4- DMC United 11 won the toss and elected to field first. Batting first, D5- Sola Shivaji 11 played a good innings and made 107 runs at the end of 14 overs by losing 7 wickets. Team got a very good start with both opening batsmen Mitesh Chavda and Pintu Patel scoring 51 and 24 runs respectively at fast pace. Dakshesh too performed well and added useful 17 runs off 19 balls helping team set up a good score for the final clash. However, remaining players were dismissed in single digits and team ended up at a competitive score of 107 runs. Bowling highlight of the innings was Naresh Talar from C$- DMC United 11, who scalped 3 wickets in 4 overs giving only 14 runs. Sanajy too bowled well and picked 2 important wickets in 2 wickets.
While chasing, C4- DMC United 11 achieved the target easily without any struggle. Tapovan Nayak and Dr Swetu Patel gave team and excellent start by scoring 42 and 50 runs respectively at fast rate taking team very close to the target. Milan Chaudhary’s unbeaten 12 took team straight to the victory in 11.1 overs with the loss of 2 wickets.
C4- DMC United 11 registered a glorious 8 wicket win over D5- Sola Shivaji 11 in the final of Inter GMERS COSMOS 2k19.
Dr Swetu Patel from C4- DMC United 11 was awarded as the player of the match for his significant contribution.
