Corporate Cricket League Season 5 is started from 24th Feb.’19 at Gurgaon.
8 teams from different corporates are participating in the tournament from which, 2nd semi-final of this much celebrated tournament was played between Sangam Knights and Gurgaon Super Strikers on 7th Apr.’19 at Fiesta Sports Complex, Gurgaon.
Gurgaon Super Strikers chose to field after winning the toss. Sangam Knights got an excellent start as opening batsman Saurav Kumar smashed 80 runs off 57 balls with 8 boundaries and 2 sixes. However, he failed to get support from the other end as wickets started to fall at regular intervals. Most of the players were dismissed in single digit scores and team ended up scoring 136 runs at the end of 20 overs with the loss of 8 wickets. Almost all the bowlers from Gurgaon Super Strikers bowled really well but pick of the lot was Dinesh Bhardwaj, who picked 2 important wickets in 4 overs.
While replying, Gurgaon Super Strikers played really well with most of the players contributing well in achieving the target. Highest scorers were Vimal and NT, who scored 24 and 53 runs respectively at fast pace. Team managed to reach the score of 141 runs in just 15.3 overs by losing 4 wickets.
Gurgaon Super Strikers won the match by 6 wickets against Sangam Knights and booked a birth for the final clash against RedTape.
NT from Gurgaon Super Strikers was awarded as the player of the match for his excellent contribution.
