Bhim Premier League Cricket Tournament was organized between 27th Mar.’19 to 6th Apr.’19 at Bidar.
16 teams from various verticals participated in this much celebrated tournament from which, the crucial final was played between Gajanan Cricket Club and KCC Bidar on 6th Apr.’19 at Gajanan Ground- Bidar.
KCC Bidar chose to bowl first after winning the toss. Despite facing an early blow, Gajanan Cricket Club posted a decent score of 137 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 9 wickets. Highest scorer was Saleem, who smashed 62 runs off 33 balls with 7 boundaries and 3 sixes. The other major contributor was Prathviraj, who scored 22 runs at a fast pace. Bowling highlight of the innings was Nitin, who picked 3 wickets in 4 overs. Other bowlers too contributed well in restricting the opponent from putting up a big score.
While replying, KCC Bidar played a very good innings with most of the players contributing significantly in the final chase. Opening batsman Rajkumar Goli started well by scoring 34 runs off 20 balls with 7 boundaries. It was followed by a strong partnership between Vishnukanth and Akshay Gupta, who added unbeaten 44 and 40 runs respectively led KCC Bidar straight to the final win without much hassle. Team achieved the target in 19.2 overs by losing 4 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Yuvraj Unne from Gajanan Cricket Club with 2 wickets.
