Sayaji T20 Cricket Carnival 2019 was organized between 24th Feb.’19 and 31st Mar.’19 at Hyderabad.
12 teams from different verticals participated in this much cherished tournament from which, and all-important final was played between Royal XI and Jai Dhoramnath on 31st Mar.’19 at KLP Ground- 1, Hyderabad.
Electing to bat, Royal XI did not get a very good start and started to lose wickets from early overs. Highest scorers were Nilesh and Kiran Dayani, who scored 36 and 26 runs respectively at fast pace. However, remaining players did not manage to go beyond 10’s and team collapsed at the score of 123 runs in 19.5 overs. Bowling highlight of the innings was Vishal Patel from Jai Dhoramnath, whose impressive spell of 4/15 restricted the opponent from putting up a big score.
While chasing, Jai Dhoramnath got a wonderful start with opening batsman Paresh Patel scoring 28 runs off 21 balls. He was supported well from the other end by Ashok Chhabariya, who played and outstanding innings and smashed unbeaten 62 runs in 51 balls with 6 boundaries and 3 sixes leading team straight to the final win. Jai Dhoramnath achieved the target of 124 runs in 17.4 overs by losing 3 wickets without any struggle. Pick of the bowlers was Rasik from Rayal XI with 2 wickets.
Jai Dhoramanath registered a glorious 7 wicket win over Royal XI in the final of Sayaji T20 Cricket Carnival 2019.
Ashok Chhabariya from Jai Dhoramnath was awarded as the player of the match for his significant contribution.
