TCS T-20 CHAMPIONSHIP 2018-19 - organized by TCS was played between 17th Nov.’19 to 16th Mar.’19 at Gandhinagar.
39 teams from various sections participated in this much celebrated tournament from which, the crucial final was played between Notorious and Challengers on 16th Mar’19.
Electing to bat, Notorious got an excellent start with opening batsman Vishu smashing 89 runs off 65 balls with 10 boundaries and 5 sixes. He was supported well by Captain UD from the other end, who added useful 31 runs in 35 balls. However, the rest of the players failed to prove their mettle and were dismissed below 10 and team ended up scoring 156 runs at the end of 20 overs with the loss of 7 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Yatinkumar Punjabi from Challengers with 2 wickets.
While replying, Challengers too started well with both the opening batsmen Vishal Pachal and Ashish Mehra scoring 11 and 31 runs at a fast pace. Kailash Gareja too played a very good innings and scored 37 runs off 23 balls with 3 boundaries and 2 sixes. Despite trying really well, Challengers failed to score at required pace and ended up scoring 134 runs at the end of 20 overs with the loss of 9 wickets. Vishu from Notorious shined again with bowl too as he scalped 3 important wickets in 4 overs.
Notorious won the final of TCS T-20 CHAMPIONSHIP 2018-19 by 22 runs against Challengers.
Vishu from Notorious was awarded as the player of the match for his all-round show.
