One of the highly followed tournaments of Godhra- Panchmahal Premier League 2019 was played between 3rd Mar.’19 to 17th Mar.’19.
12 teams from various verticals participated in this much celebrated tournament from which, the crucial final was played between Team Omkar and Team Samrat on 17th Mar.’19 at Science College Ground - Godhra.
Electing to bat, Team Omkar played a good innings and posted a competitive score of 145 runs in 20 overs by losing 8 wickets. Most of the players contributed well for the final score, however, highest scorers were Joshi Sujay and Hiren with 36 and 27 runs respectively at fast pace. Pick of the bowlers was Sakti Bodi from Team Samrat, who picked 3 wickets in 4 overs.
While chasing, Team Samrat started to fumble from early overs as none of the players managed to stay strong on crease against the strong bowling attack from Team Omkar. Majority of the players were dismissed in single digits, where highest score was of 13 runs made by Sarfaraz Malek. Team crumbled at a meager score of 64 runs in 12.5 overs. The chief wrecker was Dhaval Patel from Team Omkar, who scalped 5 wickets damaging the batting line up of Team Samrat completely resulting in their early collapse. Hiren too chipped in with 2 important wickets, which restricted them from getting a good start from early overs.
Team Omkar posted a huge 81 run win over Team Samrat in the final of Panchmahal Premier League 2019.
Dhaval Patel from Team Omkar was awarded as the player of the match for his outstanding contribution.
