The much loved ‘Super Six Divyang Cricket tournament’ had its final match at G.R.Ground-Vadodara.
On 24th Sep’17. It was played between two of the strongest strongest teams of the tournament - Madhya Pradesh (PCCAI) and U.P (PCCAI)
U.P. (PCCAI) won the toss and elected to field. The team bowled very well and took wickets at regular intervals, restricting opponent from scoring well. Madhya Pradesh (PCCAI) lost all the wickets in 16.2 overs after scoring 90 runs. Highest scorers were Pradeep Singh Bhadoria and Sanjay Pal, who scored 29 and 25 runs respectively. Bowling highlight of the innings was Makshud from U. P. (PCCAI), who took 6 wickets in 3 overs by giving only 10 runs.
Since the target was low, U.P.(PCCAI) was expected to reach to the score easily. But the team failed to deliver as per the expectations. Wickets started to fall in from the early overs and none of the players could manage to score above 10 runs. Entire team was bundled up in just 33 runs in 12.2 overs. Sanjeev Sharma from Madhya Pradesh (PCCAI) shined by taking 4 wickets in 4 overs by giving just 2 runs with 2 maiden overs.
Madhya Pradesh (PCCAI) won the final by 57 runs against U.P. (PCCAI).
