GCA League 2018- organized by Ganaur Cricket Association was played between 23rd Dec.’18 to 17th Mar.’19 at Ganaur.
Held at Janta School Ganaur, the crucial final was played between Rakesh XI and Kallish 11 on 17th Mar.’19.
Electing to bat, Rakesh XI got a very good start with opening batsman Rinku Saini scoring stable 40 runs off 46 balls. Captain Seetu supported him well from the other end as he smashed 55 runs off 32 balls with 3 boundaries and 4 sixes, which led the team to a strong position. Rakesh XI posted a decent score of 149 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 6 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Ashok Sharma from Kallish 11 with 2 wickets.
While replying, Kallish 11 failed to get a good start and lost some important wickets in early overs. However, Sinder who came to bat on 3rd position played well and added useful 46 runs off 35 balls helping team reach at a stable position. However, remaining players did not manage to put up a good score and team went on losing wickets at regular intervals.The other players, who scored a little better than the rest of the players were Astel and Amit Rathee, who made 20 and 18 runs respectively. With most of the players being dismissed in single digit scores, team ended up scoring 116 runs in 18.1 overs after losing all the wickets. Almost all the bowlers of Rakesh XI performed really well but pick of the lot was Seetu, who took 2 wickets in 4 overs giving only 13 runs.
Rakesh XI won the final of GCA League 2018 by 33 runs against Kallish 11.
Seetu from Rakesh XI was awarded as the player of the match for his all-round performance.
