Amdocs Cricket League (ACL) 2019 was played between 16th Feb.’19 to 17th Mar.’19 at Pune.
Out of 32 participant teams, the crucial final of this much cherished tournament was played between Digital Warriors and Eleven Challengers on 17th Mar.’19 at Loni Kalbhor- Pune.
Eleven Challengers won the toss and elected to bowl first. Though decision did not go in their favour as Digital Warriors managed to put up a big score of 115 runs in 10 overs by losing 6 wickets. Team got a good start with Sanjay Dangi and Vivek Thusu scoring 17 and 27 respectively at fast rate. It was followed by an outstanding innings by Gaurav Kumar, who smashed unbeaten 50 runs off 22 balls with 4 boundaries and 4 sixes helping team reach at a good score for the final clash. Pick of the bowlers was Pankaj Mishra from Eleven Challengers, who picked 3 wickets in 2 overs.
While replying, Eleven Challengers started well with opening batsman Aroop Mahapotra scoring 22 runs off 14 balls. Rajeev Math and Jafar Shaikh tried well and added useful 18 and 15 runs respectively maintaining the pace. However, remaining players failed to score well as most of them were dismissed in single digits and team ended up scoring 88 runs at the end of 10 overs with the loss of 7 wickets. Suraj Shetty and Abhishek Sukhija from Digital warriors bowled really well and picked 3 and 2 wickets respectively restricting Eleven Challengers from reaching at the target.
Digital Warriors registered a glorious 27 run win over Eleven Challengers in the final of Amdocs Cricket League (ACL) 2019 .
